A SMALL QUESTION TO SEND A FRIEND
Measure, invite, compare.
Measure yours.
Choose something you both have: a notebook, a pencil or the span of your hands. Enter its measured length in centimeters, millimeters or inches, with a label and optional name.
Send the invitation.
Share your snapshot link in your conversation. Your friend opens it and adds their own measurement. They can use a physical measuring tool or the screen ruler.
Get a comparison back.
Your friend sends you a new link with both results. The bars share one scale; switch between centimeters and inches and read the difference.
Use the ruler you have.
You can enter lengths measured with a ruler or tape measure. For small objects, open our screen ruler in a new tab ↗ and check its calibration against a physical reference before measuring.
In the iPhone or iPad app, choose Freeze → Compare with a friend. To answer an invitation with a frozen measurement, choose Reply and paste the invitation link.
A comparison, carried by its link.
The link contains the label, names and measurements. Anyone with it can read, copy, forward or change that data, so share only information you want the recipient to see.
Each link is a fixed snapshot. Adding a second measurement creates a new reply link; the first link stays unchanged. There are no background updates, accounts or location requests.
Links do not expire, and there is no way to recall copies. This page does not save a measurement history, but your browser history and sharing app may retain the link. Private comparison pages ask search engines not to index them.
Before you compare.
Can we use different units?
Yes. Enter each length in centimeters, millimeters or inches. The comparison converts them to a common scale and displays centimeters or inches. A “≈” marks a rounded display value.
Is the drawing actual size?
No. It scales both saved measurements to fit your screen. Their proportions and calculated difference come from the numbers entered; their accuracy depends on how you measured.
Will the first link update when my friend replies?
No. Your friend creates and shares a new link containing both measurements. Open that reply to see the comparison; your earlier invitation stays the same.
